How Killa Sounds came about:

It all started when two guys with the same vibe for music decided that it could....... Deane made the suggestion to Red Dawg to start a sounds system after countless idle day of listening to mix tapes. Red Dawg had the access to mixing boards and a set of old school belt driven turntables. From that point on, Deane and Red Dawg started to study music and mixing. Eventually leading to each becoming specilized in different genres of music. It was about the perfect combination.

Red Dawg supplied the Soca + Hype Dancehall, while Deane delivered on the Concious - Roots and Reggae. After selling a few mix tapes of their own, they concluded that they had enough records to finally showcase their talents and play out at clubs. After having several successful gigs, it was becoming more of a life to them. A few year later, Deane, the selector of KillaSounds passed away leaving an unfinished legacy of what started out as just an idea. Red Dawg later decided if there was one thing he would never drop is The Killa Sounds...... From then he took full control of the Killa Sounds and continued to play in memorance of Deane...aka J-Dee.
